Earnesteen Nichols Franks, 81, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at home in Weatherford, Texas, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
A visitation will be held on Friday evening, August 2, 2024, at Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, in Willow Park, Texas, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Bear Creek Cemetery, in Euless, Texas, at 10:00 a.m.
Earnesteen (Tina) was born December 18, 1942, in Hiawassee, Georgia, to Ila Mae Walls and Dock Nichols, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda O’Bryan and husband, Tom; granddaughter, Maegan Brown and husband, Chris; grandson, Patrick O’Bryan; and five great grandchildren. She also leaves behind two bonus granddaughters, April Allen and Tracy Duryea; five bonus great grandchildren; and three bonus great-great grandchildren. Earnesteen is also survived by two sisters: Barbara McKay and Elwanda Burrell, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Betty Wilson and Norma Mauldin; brother, Jackie Nichols; her husband, Tommy Sharp; and her bonus grandson, Bready O’Bryan.
Earnesteen was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed hairdressing, sewing, and taking family vacations. She had a love of singing, especially in church, and served the Lord her whole life. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because her love language was giving gifts. She was generous and loving; always willing to help in whatever way she could. Earnesteen liked to cook, especially during the holidays, and her leftovers could always be found in repurposed Country Crock Containers. She will be deeply missed.
