Eddie Russell "Whistle" Bloodworth

  Eddie Russell "Whistle" Bloodworth, age 70, of Weatherford, Texas, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Born on December 18, 1953, Eddie devoted his life to Christ as a young child and to serving his community through a dedicated career in public works for Precinct 3 Parker County until he retired. 

  His unwavering commitment to service reflected his deep love for the community he called home. Eddie greatly enjoyed driving a truck and heavy equipment. He was known for his integrity, work ethic, and genuine care for those around him. Whether through his professional contributions or his friendly interactions, he left an indelible mark on the lives he touched. Eddie will be deeply missed by all who knew him, yet his legacy of love for others will endure. 

  Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Finley Garland Bloodworth and Luddie Mae (Williams) Bloodworth, and his brothers, Finley Garland "Butch" Bloodworth and Billy Ray Bloodworth.

  Eddie is survived by his niece, Karissa Wimberley and her husband, Will; nephew, Shane Bloodworth and wife, Stacy; and his beloved great nieces and nephews, Cooper, Lillian, Finley, and Reid Wimberley, and Keller Bloodworth, all of whom he adored. 

  Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas.

  Family and friends are invited to honor Eddie's life at a graveside service on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens of the Valley, in Weatherford, Texas.
