Eddie Jack King

Eddie Jack King, 88, of Weatherford, passed away April 17, 2018, in Fort Worth.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., at South Main Church of Christ, 201 S. Main Street, in Weatherford. Visitation with his family will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service, Saturday morning, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Weatherford South Main Church of Christ Benevolent Fund or to a charity of choice.

Eddie was born October 7, 1929, the only child of Grady and Ola King, in Roanoke, Texas. His life-long banking career began at Continental National Bank for 45 years and from Summit National Bank from which he retired after 5 years. Eddie married Betty Anderson 70 years ago on June 21, 1947. Following retirement, they moved to Weatherford in 1983.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Cheryl King and husband, Kenny and Eddie L. King and wife, Debbie; granddaughters, Jennifer Smith, April Daniel, and Angie Hollman; and four great-grandchildren.
