Edna “Earline” Allen, 86, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, May 9, 2020 in Weatherford.
A graveside committal service will be held at 1 P.M., Thursday, May 14, at Rough Creek Cemetery near Granbury.
Earline was born on November 22, 1933 in Cedar Bayou, Texas to Dora Collins. She married Lee Roy Allen on July 3, 1951, and together had four children. A devout Christian, she was a member at North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford. Earline will be remembered for always lovingly taking care of others in need – particularly children. She was an excellent cook, creative cake decorator, and a talented seamstress. Earline will also be remembered for advocating “Aloe-Vera” products to remedy any ailment. Most of all, Earline will be remembered for her loving devotion to her family – particularly her great-grandchildren.
Earline is survived by her husband of almost 69 years, Lee Roy Allen; her children, Sharon (Larry) Ledbetter, Pam Tapp, Victor (Dawn) Allen, and Steven Allen; grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Brian, Telesa, Shane, Shannon, Shawn and Chelsey; great-grandchildren, Colt, Jase, Jackson, Ella, Addie, Holden, Skylar, Beau, Bonnie, Hailey, Cameron, Dylan, Parker, and Clayton; and by her niece, Judy Young and her family.
In addition to her parents, Earline was preceded in death by her grandson, Blake Allen, and sister, Vanita Gowen.
