Edna Williams passed to be with her Heavenly Father on April 20, 2021. She was born to Melvin and Cornelia Pritchard, the last of twelve children. She grew up in Peaster, Texas and graduated high school there. Edna moved to Weatherford and met the love of her life, Don Williams. They were married for seventy years and had three children, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Edna worked in the tax department at City Hall for thirteen years starting in the early 1960s. Later, she attended Weatherford College and then became a real estate broker.
Edna had a heart full of joy and enjoyed gardening, needlework, music, travel, and entertaining with parties for her Sunday School class and fun club. She was very faithful in accompanying and singing with the Dan Johnson singers at nursing homes. She was also always willing to provide food for funerals, including her popular chocolate pie.
Edna was survived by her husband, Don and her children: Janice Carpenter (with her husband, Danny), Barry Williams, and Sherri Ramsay (with her husband, Greg); grandchildren: Jean Marie Lopez, Anton Williams, Rachel Carpenter, and Bradley Carpenter; great grandchildren: Diego, Niko, and Isaiah Lopez, and Cooper Williams; sister-in-law, Colleen Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her eleven siblings, her mother-in-law, Rexie Williams, and sister-in-law, Marjorie Winstead.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 25th, at 2:00 p.m., in Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial and graveside services will be on Monday, April 26th, at 10:00 a.m., at East Greenwood Cemetery.
