Edward D. Stephens

Edward D. "Ed" Stephens 84, of Weatherford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in a nursing home.  Ed was born November 19, 1930 in Snyder, TX and proudly worked 37 years for himself as a real estate builder and developer in the Weatherford and Fort Worth region.  He served in the Air Force during the Korean war from 1951-1955 and served in the Air Police Squadron stationed in El Paso, TX.  Mr. Stephens received his B.S. in geology at TCU which helped him immensely at his business.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 20 years and best friend for 57 years Hazel Ruth Wood.  Mr. Stephens is also survived by his brother Mike Stephens of Vega, TX, 4 children, 2 step-children and many grandchildren that he loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held for the family in Granbury, TX on Sunday, June 21, 2015. Interment at the family cemetery in Gail, TX at a later date. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
