Edward Escoto age 69, of Weatherford passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at a Fort Worth hospital. He was born November 28, 1947 in Fort Worth to Dennis and Josephine Escoto. Edward proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of South Main Church of Christ where he volunteered in Benevolence and The Mission Printing. He was also a member of the VFW Post 4746 where he helped with many veteran affairs, including raising the flag during Colors.
Edward is survived by his wife Amelia Escoto of Weatherford, daughter Denise Case and her husband Jeff of Hudson Oaks; son Roy Calderon and his wife Kayla of Weatherford; sisters Debbie Flores and Mary Escoto both of Chicago; grandchildren Carin Calderon, Brenna Calderon, Erica Calderon, Micah Calderon and Amelia Calderon; stepfather Cruz Andros of San Angelo.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents Dennis Escoto and Josephine Andros; sister Elva Valdez.
Memorial service 1:00pm Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford. Michael Lum will officiate. Interment DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
