Edward “Ed” R. Stofko, Sr. 96, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away early on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Willow Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Willow Park, Texas.
Ed was born September 28, 1919, in Joliet, Illinois. He was one of six children born to John and Mary Stofko. He married the love of his life, Marilyn Bluth on September 17, 1949 and together had two children, Edward, Jr. and Linda. Ed will be remembered as being a hard worker. He loved playing Euchre, going to the Casino, and fishing. He particularly loved the NY Yankees. Most of all, Ed loved spending time with his family.
Edward is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marilyn; children, Edward Stofko, Jr. (Dolores) of Helena, Montana and Linda (David) Clark of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren, Justin, Michael, and Jeremy Stofko and Eric and Sean Clark; great-grandchildren, Zach, Laney, Hallie, Cohen, Crew, and Marlo Clark and Keagan and Adelynn Stofko; and by his sister, Frances Sing.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Joseph, Raymond, and Bernard Stofko.
Burial will be private at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
