Elbert Wayne Martin

Elbert Wayne Martin, 72, of Everman, passed away Thursday May 14, 2009 in a Burleson hospital. Born February 16, 1937 to Leeloo and Callie Mae Martin Sr., Wayne lived most of his life in Weatherford. He was retired from the Army Reserves and worked most of his civilian life as a stone and brick mason. Wayne was a beloved father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Robin Coburn Blue; sister, Laverne Conner; and three brothers, Charles, Max, and Leeloo Martin Jr. Wayne is survived by four daughters, Donna Messimer and husband Mike of Peaster, Vicki Craig and husband Rickey of Springtown, Cindy Clary and husband Terry, and Anita Martin all of Millsap; three sons, Rusty Martin of Weatherford, Randall Coburn and wife Tonya of Millsap, Albert Martin of Germany; 20 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and best friend Sallie Baughman. Graveside service will be held 2 PM Saturday at Holder’s Chapel Cemetery in Cool, TX. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
