Elke Barfield

Elke Barfield 71, of Weatherford passed away peacefully Sunday, February 21, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Elke was born April 20, 1944 in Mainz, Germany to Max Ferber and Maria Scheid. She was employed for 15 years at Weatherford Jr. College as an administrative assistant. Elke was a member of the St Stephens Catholic Church. She loved working in her yard and had a passion for making anything grow from seed. Spending time with her family and friends along with traveling were her most loved and enjoyed activities.
 
Elke is survived by her son Heath Barfield and wife Karrie, daughter Brenda Keeling and husband Terry, sister Petra Krieger, grandsons Kristopher and Kaleb Keeling, granddaughters Haley, Brylee and Preslie Barfield, great-grandsons Channing, Kase and Kamdyn Keeling and her nephew Tom Krieger.

Elke is preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter Kindle Keeling.
 



 


Memorial gathering Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 6-8pm at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
