Airman 1st Class Emerald Dragon ASL Masofa Awoha-li Baskin-Young "Dragon", 24, of Melrose, NM passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2022.
Dragon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Diane Elliott.
He is survived by his wife, Hanna Sumrall; his mother, Amanda Moore; and his siblings, Crimson Moore and Coyote Baskin-Young.
After Dragon attended Crosstimbers Academy and graduated from homeschooling in 2015. He enlisted in the Air Force December 1, 2020. He then attended the Structural Apprentice course at the Naval Construction and Training Center in Gulfport, Mississippi, before being stationed at Cannon AFB in July 2021.
Dragon was a loving husband, son, brother, and friend to all. He was an artist, maker, and lover of all things creative. During his time as an airman, he was well-liked, known as a leader, and a "go to" man. He loved animals, and had many, many beloved pets throughout his lifetime. He loved nature, and often went hiking during his time off.
The family asks that donations be made to Texas Conservation Alliance in memory of Emerald Dragon ASL Masofa Awoha-li Baskin-Young.
