Emmaline Teehee

Emmaline Teehee, 81, of Weatherford, went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Monday morning, December 3, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Center Point Baptist Church, 1003 Center Point Road, in Weatherford. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 P.M., on Wednesday, December 5, at Center Point Baptist Church.

Emmaline was born on May 9, 1937, in Stillwell, Oklahoma, to Sam and Adeline Doublehead. She was a full blood member of the Cherokee Nation. She married John Teehee on March 5, 1956. Emmaline was a member at Center Point Baptist Church for 58 years. She enjoyed visiting with friends, shopping on the weekends, tending to flowers, cooking meals for her family, and spending her time playing with great grandbabies. Most of all, she enjoyed being a Nana. She had a servant’s heart and truly lived to serve others, always putting everyone before herself.

Emmaline is survived by her daughters Judy and husband Larry Tidwell and Dinah and husband Chris Wren; her grandchildren, Justin and wife Christine Tidwell, Jerrod and wife Alé Tidwell, Jessica and husband Philip Newkirk, John Ross and wife Meredith Wren, and Ashlyn and husband Calvin Wimmer; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Sophia, Parker, Hunter, Emmalyn, Eden, Paxton, Ben, Graham, and Adeline; her sister, Carolyn Claphan; her brothers, John and Adam Doublehead; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, and siblings, Emmaline was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Teehee.
