Era Charlene Nickerson

Era Charlene Nickerson, age 88,   died on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at her residence.  Born October 9, 1921, a resident of Weatherford for many years.  She was a homemaker caretaker for North Texas Health Services and member of the Hilltop Baptist Church.  She was a graduate of Brock High School, where she played Basketball on championship teams.  Era was preceded in death by a son, Bobby R. Cardwell, seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors:  Sons, Benny Cardwell of Grand Prairie, Gary Cardwell and wife Vanessa of Fort Stockton; Brother, M. F.” Jack” Tanner of San Diego; Grandchildren, Guy and Lori; Great Grandchildren, Travis and Autumn.
Graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, September 30, 2010 in East Greenwood Cemetery.  Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.    Visitation will be 6-8 PM on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the funeral home.
