Eric Geza Monostori passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at age 59. He was born April 2, 1964, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Geza Monostori and Heidi (Klemmer) Monostori. Following high school, Eric attended Oklahoma State University while simultaneously serving in the Marine Corps Reserve. Upon graduation he joined the officer corps and then eventually transitioned to the Navy Reserve. He proudly served his country for 38 years total including multiple active-duty assignments in support of Desert Storm and the Global War on Terrorism. When not serving his country on active duty, Eric worked for American Airlines in various capacities. He had a love for travel, fly fishing, gardening, and enjoyed participating in the Parker County Corvette Club. Eric will be remembered as an effective leader in his family, career, and community.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Geza Monostori and his sister, Susan J. Farley.

Eric is survived by his beloved wife, Jill (Merkley) Monostori of Aledo, Texas; son, Gabriel A. Monostori; daughter, Zsuzsanna A. Monostori; mother, Heidi M. Monostori; brother and sister-in-law, Steven M. (Heather) Monostori; and by many other loving family and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2023, with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Rd, Willow Park, Texas 76087.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2023, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 16250 Old Weatherford Rd, Aledo, Texas 76008, officiated by Monsignor Publius Xuereb. Serving as pallbearers are Steven Monostori, Hunter Monostori, Keith Farley, Kenneth Farley, Gabriel Monostori, and George Farley. Burial with full military honors will follow at Annetta Cemetery, in Annetta, Texas.
