Born November 3, 1924, Ernest Emil Huse was baptized on November 30, 1924 and confirmed in the faith on June 19, 1938 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sparenberg, Texas. Ernest was raised on the family cotton farm in west Texas. During World War II, he joined the Navy and served as an aircraft mechanic. In February, 1945, he married Evelyn Lentz in the church where they both grew-up. After living in Corpus Christi and Lamesa, Ernest and family moved to Weatherford in the fall of 1958 and joined Trinity Lutheran on January, 1959. Like many in his generation, Ernest lived a quiet life , worked hard to support his family and served God through his local church. In 1987, while at work, Ernest collapsed from an aortic aneurism. Purely by the grace of God he survived. Despite several serious medical conditions in the following years, God blessed Ernest with an additional 22 plus years of life to share with his family. Ernest was the youngest child of William Herman Huse and Martha Markwardt Huse. He is preceded in death by his his wife Evelyn, his parents, and his brothers and sisters Lydia, Selma, Felix, Edwin, Esther and Raymond. He is survived by his daughter Donna Varney and her husband Steve of Weatherford; his son Lon and wife Mimi of Houston; grandson Paul Varney and wife Linda of Grand Prairie, and grandson Tim Varney, wife Jennifer and great-granddaughter Ava of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada; also, by marriage, three grandchildren, Caroline of Mississippi, Meredith of Chicago, and Adam of Houston and two great-grandchildren, Thea Grace and Aiden
