Ernie B. Rutledge age, 78, of Weatherford, died early Monday morning in a local nursing facility. Born March 13, 1932 in Vera, Texas, Ernie was the youngest of seven children. He moved to Parker Co. in 1934 to the Fox Lambert area. Ernie B. was member of the Sheriff ‘s Posse since l979, served in the U. S. Army from 1952 to 1954 and he loved fishing, deer hunting and bird hunting with his son and grandsons. As a teenager he remembered working with German War Prisoners in local peach orchards, Ernie B. and Eva Earl Kelley were married March 9, 1957 and celebrated their 50th anniversary. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kellie R. Wilson, parents T. J. and Geneva Rutledge, brothers, Marvin, Chester, Elmer and Royce and sister Ruth Sanders. Survivors: Wife – Eva Earl Rutledge of Weatherford; Son – Eric Rutledge and wife, Amy of Brock; Son-in-law – Rick Wilson of Brock; Three Grandchildren – Reis Wilson, Chase and Haley Rutledge; Brother – J. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in the Greenwood Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the funeral home.
Memorials: Parker County Senior Center Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
