Fay Marie Green

Fay Marie Green, age 79, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014, in Willow Park. Fay was born in Hawley, Texas on August 27, 1935, to Frances and Leroy Raymond Grissom. She was a graduate of Brownfield High School and attended Hardin Simmons University. She was baptized in 1950. 

For 43 years, she worked for World Book Encyclopedia and retired as a Branch Sales manager in 2000. She began working for Parker County as the Office Manager at Precinct 4 and retired in 2010. She enjoyed volunteering for the East Parker County Library. She loved gardening, caring for animals, and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Grace and brother, Marshall; first husband, Dale Johnson in 1968; second husband, Russell Green in March 2014; and a stepdaughter, Kay Green. 

She is survived by her daughter, Rene’ Driver, of Weatherford; stepson, Jay Green and wife, Connie, of Amarillo; stepdaughter, Liz Green, of Houston; stepson, Robbie Green and wife, Crystal, of Lake Stevens, Washington; sister, Josie Armstrong, of Norman, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Ilona Grissom, of Fort Worth; and nine grandchildren. 

She will be missed by her constant companions, Inca and Bitzi.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Annetta Cemetery, in Annetta. Visitation will be at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel Tuesday, December 16, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the East Parker County Library or the Humane Society.
