Fay Jean Herron, 82, passed from this life on Saturday, April 22, 2023. She was born August 28, 1940, in Weatherford, Texas to AD Riley and Velma Lorene Savage Elders. Fay Jean worked in the lunchroom and was a bus driver for Brock ISD for 48 years. She enjoyed gardening and feeding her chickens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Arvin Herron, son, Monte Lee Herron, brother David Elders and her sister, Gail Shires.
Fay Jean leaves behind her sons, Steven Herron and Odell Herron and wife Kelly; daughter in law, Candy Herron; brother, Wayne Elders and wife Vada; brothers and sisters in law, Linda Hutchison, John Shires, Billy Herron, Helen Evans, George Herron and Hazel Burney; grandchildren, Robert Herron, Rachel Herron Marshall, Jackie Herron, Shaina Cutler, Sean Herron, Tony Herron, Shelby Herron, Riley Herron and Trevor Herron; 15 great grandchildren and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral Service: 2 pm, Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Dennis Baptist Church with interment to follow in Brock Cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8 pm, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
