Fernando Diaz

Fernando Diaz, 59, of Weatherford passed away from this life on August 18, 2017 quietly in his home, with his loving wife by his side. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. Fernando, “Nando” to the ones he worked with, worked at O’Rielly’s on South Main in Weatherford for 8 years. He had a reputation of being friendly, honest, fair and great at his job. He was a great husband, a good father who loved his children very much and a good brother. Fernando was born February 18, 1958 in Haskell, Texas. He married Sylvia Cardenas, December 3, 1994 and together they had one child, Lucinda Diaz. He was preceded in death by his father Jose M Diaz and his mother Lucinda Diaz. Fernando is survived by his wife, Sylvia Diaz; son Michael Diaz and family; daughters, Michel and family, Angela Wells and family and Lucinda Diaz; brothers, Jessie Raymond Diaz, Jose Diaz, Jr. and family, Johnny Diaz, Sr., Tee Diaz and George Diaz; sisters, Lee Diaz and her husband Roger and daughter, Erica, Dora D. Whitley and family. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of church family.
