Frances Naomi Bibby of Brock, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the age of 84. Frances was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Most called her "Nanny". Frances loved Jesus and her family. She was strong in her faith. She was passionate about sharing the gospel with everyone she encountered. She had a servant's heart--and she happily served in many different capacities. She was the hands and feet of Jesus. She never met a stranger. She was sincere and honest, and anytime you crossed paths with Frances you were instantly greeted with a smile. You were guaranteed to know her love for the Lord by the end of your conversation...even if it was short! She never judged a soul...she just loved!
Frances was born on December 28, 1936, in Fairfield, AL to Raymond Register and Ruth (Burgin) Register. Frances married Robert Earl Bibby on September 20, 1957. They were married for 47 wonderful years. Together they had two daughters, Patricia 'Trish' Bibby Kidd and Rhonda Bibby Cooper. Frances and her family were members of Wilkes Baptist Church in Fairfield, AL where she began her preschool teaching career in 1968. In 1976, Robert and Frances moved to Carrollton, TX. They joined First Baptist Church of Carrollton where she became heavily involved in their preschool ministry. Frances served as the director of preschool at FBC Carrollton until she retired in 1999.
Frances loved her family so well! She was funny...and maybe a little ornery at times...but she loved to laugh and always had a smile that was contagious. She was proud of her family. She taught them well, she loved them fiercely, she prayed for them constantly, and she never missed anything they had going on. Frances was an encourager. She was wise and was always so good at offering her advice. She loved the holidays and was always present for family gatherings and celebrations. No matter the circumstance, she was there.
Frances had many hobbies that she thoroughly enjoyed. She loved crafting, quilting, and sewing. She always found a reason to sew or make a handmade gift. The thing that made her gift extra special was the card that was included, which was designed and "made special by Nanny". She loved gardening. When she wasn't in her craft room, you could find her outside making sure her flowers and fig tree were thriving.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruth Register; her husband of 47 years, Robert Earl Bibby; her daughter, Patricia Kidd; and brother, Bill Register.
Frances is survived by her loving daughter, Rhonda and son-in-law Bill Cooper; grandson, Hunter Mayberry and wife Jill; granddaughter, Jessica Sauer and husband Matt; her cherished great-grandchildren - Morgan Mayberry, Lucas Mayberry, Landry Sauer, and Tripp Sauer all of Brock, TX.
