Gabrian Monique Price passed away on April 11th, 2022, from complications of lupus.

Gabrian was born January 16, 1964, to Janice Darlene (Sullivan) and Joseph Clayton McQuillan, in Butte, Montana. She was the second of three daughters born to Janice and Joseph and would later become a big sister when their little sister, Monique, and little brother, David, were born to her stepfather, Alvin Lacombe.

Gabrian was raised in Butte where she graduated from Butte High School in 1982. After high school, she joined the Navy, allowing her to travel to distant shores and see the world. There she met and married fellow sailor, Kevin Price. Soon thereafter they added two children to their marriage: a daughter, Meagan, and a son, Matthew. They settled near Gabrian’s mother in California.

Gabrian and Kevin divorced, and upon her mother’s death, Gabrian moved back to Butte to be near friends and family. There she reunited with her high school sweetheart, Michael C. Pesikan, with whom she would spend the rest of her life. Together they raised Gabrian’s children and built a life together, eventually moving to Texas in 2001 where they lived ever since.

Gabrian worked many years in nursing homes, eventually earning her license as a medication aide. She had a gift for profound kindness and compassion upon those whose suffering she ministered to personally. She could recount the personal details of the residents with whom she worked because she cared about them genuinely. When her daughter, Meagan, would visit these homes, the residents would often express their heartfelt thanks for her mother’s singular ability to bring humor and dignity to the difficult circumstances of their lives.

When illness prevented her further work, Gabrian stayed home to care for the love of her life while he provided her with a comfortable life. They were fond of bookshops and motorcycle rides in the sunshine over rolling Texas hills. They enjoyed walks together under the great oaks and pecan trees along the trails. Gabrian kept a small potted garden so that she could have something living and beautiful wherever they made their home. She was close with her nearby nieces, Markie and Heather, and her mother-in-law, Rusty, who was like a second mother. Her very favorite activity, besides telling everyone how proud she was of her children, was to curl up at home with her husband and her Himalayan cat, Willy.

Gabrian was preceded in death by her mother, father, and baby sister, Monique.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; her two children, Meagan (Lance) Kohler and Matthew Price; her siblings, Ambra McQuillan, Stephanie (Jim) Stenbeck, David Lacombe; her seven grandchildren, Kimberly (14), Matthew (12), Isabelle (9), Phillip (8), Abraham (8), William (5), and David (3), and her nieces and nephews Molly Perrick, Zack Perrick, Jim Stenbeck, Austin Stenbeck, Markie Pesikan, Heather Pesikan, and Cody Pesikan.

Memorial services will be scheduled for a later date.
