Gary Don Swearengin, 82, from Comanche, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024. He was born April 18, 1942, in Gorman, Texas, to C.D. Swearengin and Faye Swearengin.
Gary served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He concluded his military service with an honorable discharge.
He was the owner of Swearengin Motors and later, GT Investments. Gary loved all sports and enjoyed occasional fishing trips. He loved to take long country drives as often as he could. Gary was a man of faith. Gary and his wife were both members of Willow Park Baptist Church.
Gary leaves behind many loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Kaye Swearengin of Weatherford, Texas; his daughter, Jana and her husband, Jeff Burchard; son, Todd and wife, Karla Swearengin; daughter, Ashley and her husband, Jeremy Swearingin; son, Tanner and his wife, Erin Carter; as well as his grandchildren: Grayson and his wife, Megan Burchard; Caden and his wife, Jae Burchard; Colson Burchard; Holden Burchard; Hayden and his wife, Tori Swearengin; Tate Swearengin; Addison Swearingin; Kaleigh Swearingin; Shelby Swearingin; Trinity Carter; and Hunter Carter.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
A graveside service to honor Gary's life will take place at 10:15 a.m., on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the Dallas - Fort Worth National Cemetery, in Dallas, Texas.
