Gene ReNae Shannon

Gene ReNae Shannon, passed away peacefully at age 88, Sunday, July 17, 2022. Gene was born August 25, 1933, in Fort Worth, TX to Arthur Wooten and Belma Hutchinson.

Gene was employed by Campbell Memorial Hospital as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for several years before she retired, she also worked as home health care nurse. In her leisure time she loved cooking, and gardening. Gene loved her family and found a new joy when she became a grandma to all her precious grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren. She was a member of the North Main Church of God.

Gene was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Shannon, parents, children, Michael Shannon, Stephen Shannon, and Dawn Harrigan.

Gene is survived by her daughter, Debbie Stanley of Burleson, TX, daughter, Shaune Shannon of Poolville, TX, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 pm. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Ceremony 10:00 am. Monday, July 25, 2022, at the North Main Church Of God.
