Geneva Mae Bruton

Geneva Mae Bruton, 88, of Weatherford, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 in a local care facility.  Geneva was born April 29, 1925 in Mineola, Texas to Mary Ethel and Hugh Noble Mize.
Geneva moved to Parker County in 1947 and was a member of North Side Baptist Church for more than 50 years.  Mrs. Bruton retired from Weatherford Regional Medical Center, formerly Campbell Hospital, in 1987.  She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing Skip Bow.   Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Bruton is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin George Bruton, sister, Genell Johnson and a grandson, Alan Hartley.
Survivors include her children, Carolyn Rusch, Donna Bruton, Nancy Butler and husband, Ray, Robert Bruton and wife, Joyce and Dennis Bruton and wife, Judy; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and a brother, Dalbert Mize and wife, Dorothy.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Memory Gardens.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
