Georgia Katherine Sessum

Georgia Katherine Sessum, matriarch of the family, died November 17, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 28, 1931 in South Bend, Indiana to George and Katherine Delano. One of 9 siblings raised in Evansville, Indiana. Georgia (Nan, Kats) was a very warm and wonderful person. She had overcome many obstacles in life and didn't let them define her. Georgia was a very strong woman that never gave up or gave in. She worked hard her whole life and made an impact in countless lives. Her house was always open and everyone was welcome. She married Joe Sessum in 1954 and together they had 2 children, Jaris Hicks and Lynn Sessum. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Sessum, daughter Jaris, mother Katherine, father, George, brothers, George (Bobby), Jerry, Richard and John, sisters, Elouise, Geraldine and Dorothy. She is survived by son, Lynn Sessum and wife Danae, brother, Charles Delano; grandchildren, Kyle Sessum, Heather Stille and husband Justin, Kaitlyn Sessum and Daelyn Sessum; great grandchildren, Hannah Sessum, Delani Stille and Landry Stille and many much loved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice, Santa Fe Health and Rehab and brothers and sisters in the FWFD and out many friends for the care and support they gave.



Memorial Service: 2 p.m, Friday, November 20, 2015 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
