Geraldine Lucille Smith

  Geraldine Lucille Smith, age 84, of Weatherford, died early Wednesday, October 27, 2010, in a Fort Worth Hospital. Born March 5, 1926, in Oakland City, Indiana, a resident of Weatherford for several years. She was a homemaker, an employee of Miller’s Insurance and the White Settlement ISD. Geraldine was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church, Eastern Star, AARP Club and Weatherford Whirl Aways. She loved to cook, take care of her family, camp and travel.

  Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Prentice B. (Barney) Smith of Weatherford; three sons, Mitchell Smith and wife, Debbie of Hudson Oaks, Rodney Smith and wife, Cindy of White Settlement, and Joe Smith and wife, Frankie of Weatherford; sisters, Alene Poehlein of Oakland City, Indiana, and Joyce Jones of Petahalto, Illinois; brothers, Loyce Williams of Princeton, Indiana, Robert Williams of Royal City, Indiana, and Alfred Williams of New Iberia, Louisiana; and seven grandchildren, Jeff, Jay, Brian, Jeffrey, Jacob, Logan, and Devon.

  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2010, at the funeral home.
