Glen Que Glass was born on November 11, 1932, in Vernon, Texas, and passed away on March 28, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas.
Glen proudly served 26 years in the United States Army, retiring with the rank of Major. He was drafted for the Korean War, served two tours in Korea, and completed one tour in Vietnam. Following his military career, he dedicated 12 years as a Lieutenant with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department.
He was an active member of the Sportsman’s Club, the Fort Worth Orchid Society, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Glen found joy in many passions, including reading, target shooting at the Sportsman’s Club, gardening, and caring for the family’s beloved cats. Above all, he cherished time spent with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Glen Glass.
Left to honor his memory is the love of his life and wife of 73 years, Lila Glass; his daughter, Dawna Grosse (Ron); his son, Jonathan Greg Glass (Sheryl); his daughter-in-law, Angie Glass; grandchildren, Jeremy Glass (Andromeda), Meagan Glass, Jonathan Glass (Stevie), Glen Glass (Lea), Sarah Grosse McBride (Michael), Sam Grosse, Kathleen Glass, and Seth Grosse; and great-grandchildren, Audra, Jonathan, and Margot Lila.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at East Greenwood Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.
