Glenn H. Barnett, age 75, of Weatherford, died Saturday morning, June 14, 2008, in a Fort Worth Hospital. Born November 12, 1932, in Whitesboro, Texas, a resident of Weatherford for thirty one years, he was retired U.S. Postal Service Superintendent after 30 years of service. Mr. Barnett was a Navy Veteran, member of the Baptist Church, loved woodworking, gardening and his biggest hobby was following grandchildren in sports and showing animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents Curtis and Winnie Barnett.
Survivors: Wife of 51 years, Glenda Barnett of Weatherford; daughters, Myrna Binion and husband, Mark of Weatherford, Kris Ballard and husband, Robbie of Weatherford; son, Kenneth Barnett and wife, Theresa of Copperas Cove; sisters, Betty Jacobs and husband, Don of Trinity and Polly Miller and husband, Bill of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Keely and Brent Gilbert, Lenton Barnett, Lucas Barnett, Bailey Binion, and Ty, McKenna and Sadie Ballard; great granddaughter, Brenley Gilbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2008, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment in Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
