Gloria Mae Brinkley, passed away at age 86, Monday, April 11, 2022. Gloria was born April 26, 1935, in Weatherford, Texas, to Mack Deward Brinkley and Bera Evelyn Johns.
Gloria displayed her servant’s heart in her occupation, she took pride in being a nurse’s aide for many years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Irving where she loved to worship the Lord and taught Sunday school for the children. Gloria loved to go country and western dancing, gardening; especially her flower beds, and collecting her pretties. She is loved by her family and friends and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Norbert Brinkley; and grandsons, Les Ashmore, Jr. and Timothy Blankenship.
Gloria is survived by her children, Sondra Blankenship Grimes and husband, Mike of Azle, Texas, Billy Blankenship, Sr. and wife, Becky of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tommy Blankenship of Haltom City, Texas; grandchildren, Billy Blankenship, Jr., Carissa Stiles, Tanya Blankenship, Crystal Mayes, Shannon Ashmore, and Spencer Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Blake Stiles, Teddy Hicks, Gaige Pisano, Brysen Pisano, Payton Pisano, Blaze Pisano, Morgan Ashmore Reber, Bailey Hicks, Hannah Stiles, Sydney Stiles, Tucker Blankenship, Lillian Pisano, and Zoe Blankenship; and many more loving children, great-great-grandchildren, Hudson Hicks, Laiken Bowen, and many more.
Visitation 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022, located at the Lighthouse Country Cowboy Church, 6409 Farm to Market Rd 730 S., Azle, Texas 76020.
Family dinner will commence at 12:00 p.m. to1:00 p.m., with the Funeral Ceremony service following at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place will be at Annetta Cemetery.
