After graduation from Texas Wesleyan University, he was employed with General Dynamics, Fort Worth plant, as an aircraft weight engineer. Later on, he was hired on with Radio Shack/Tandy Corp in 1971, as one of their first three computer programmers. He retired in 1996 as a Data Processing Manager.
After retirement, he enjoyed golf, bass fishing, and traveling with wife, Linda. His passion, though, was Volunteer Christian Builders. This Christian organization allowed him to serve his Lord, Jesus Christ through volunteering on a crew of builders who traveled and worked on construction of new church buildings throughout the United States.
