Gwen Mathews

Gwen Mathews, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 2 PM at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Garner with Pastor Brady Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethesda Cemetery.

Gwen was born October 4, 1946 to Jim and Billie Griffin in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Weatherford and a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. She worked as an insurance claims adjuster. Gwen also worked as a cafeteria worker for Weatherford ISD and was a substitute teacher for Peaster ISD.

She leaves behind her husband of 28 years, Steve Mathews of Weatherford; daughters, Shawn Rasbeary and husband, Steve of Fort Worth, Missy Tidwell and Trey of Houston, Brandi Nino and husband Phillip of Weatherford, Yvonne Bunch and husband, David of Comfort and Stephanie Mathews of Comfort; son, Chad Mathews and wife, Sarah of San Antonio; grandchildren: Jeremiah Segura, Amber Segura, Dylan Segura, Ben and Celeste Torres, Cody Tidwell, Ashlee Cato, Randa Pettit, Jordan Bunch, Jonah Bunch and Ashlee Dingler; great-grandson, Kamden Dingler.

No Visitation
Funeral service: Monday, January 13, 2014 at 2 PM at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Garner.  Interment:  Bethesda Cemetery.
