  Harold Monroe Hamilton, age 91, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Monday, April 14, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1933, in Cheek, Oklahoma, to William and Marie (Jones) Hamilton. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army, notably guarding the White House during the Eisenhower administration. After his military service, he went on to work for Brazos Gas until his retirement. A man of quiet strength and faith, Harold was a member of the Baptist church and the Masonic Lodge. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course.

  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Helen Sue Hamilton, in April of 2024, as well as by his parents and several siblings.

  Left to cherish Harold's memory are his children: daughter and son-in-law, Diann and Howdy Robertson; daughter, Paula Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Edwards and Jerry Thorne; and daughter, Susie Hamilton. Harold also leaves behind grandchildren, Jason and Melissa Galloway, Brad and Susan Galloway, Zack and Margeaux Oaks, Mandi Edwards, Cody Oaks, and Dylan and Taylor Edwards; along with nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Glenn Hamilton and wife, Glenda, and Warren Hamilton and wife, Nelda.

  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy, Weatherford, Texas 76088.
