Harold was retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad, a member of Crescent Heights Baptist Church in Abilene, National Rifle Association and an avid hunter. He is survived by his wife, Ann Dawson of Weatherford; daughter, Mollie Evans and husband Ken of Greenville; son, Robert Michael Dawson of Dallas; stepdaughters, Pam Torbett and husband Rickey of Weatherford, Angela Norton and husband George of Weatherford, Carlene Rockwell and husband David of Weatherford; grandchildren, Colt Dawson, Chad Dylan Allen, Gracelyn Joan Evans, Truman Edwards, Sharon Clark, Melinda Rockwell and Sandy Heine; great grandchildren, Jude Dawson Allen and Kristin Heine.
