Harold Little made his transition in the early morning on Saturday, Jan. 29th after a long struggle with Parkinson’s.  He died peacefully at home where he lived with his niece, Laura Anderson and her family. Born in Corsicana, TX on July 17, 1926, Mr. Little was reared in Weatherford and retired here in 1975. He was a member of the Christian Science Church.
A graduate of Weatherford High School in 1944, Harold was an honor student, President of the Student Council, President of Hi-Y Club, business manager of the Grass Burr, member of the Tennis Club, member of the Choral Club and was awarded a certificate of merit for perfect attendance in school. He was drafted into the army in March of 1945 and received basic heavy weapons infantry training at Camp Walters in Texas. He transferred to Fort MacArthur, California for duty as a Clerk Typist in the Medical section. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He received an associate of arts from Weatherford College in 1946, a Bachelor of Business administration from North Texas State College in Denton in 1950, and a Master of Business Education, from North Texas State College in Denton in 1957. He completed all his course work for his PHD in 1972 but choose to retire instead of writing his dissertation.
Harold was a technical writer for Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation in 1950-52, a field rater for the DuPont-de Meous Savanna River Project H-Bomb plant with Top Secret Security Rating with the Department of Defense in 1952, taught business classes at Pampa Independent School District Senior High School in 1955, instructed classes in business at Blinn Junior College in 1956, and again at Texas College of Arts and Industries State College, 1957-58, instructed classes at Laredo Junior College in 1958-59, was Dean of College and Head of the Department of Business Administration at Ranger Junior College in 1959-61, a training instructor in the Jet Engines course at Amarillo Technical Training Center (ATC) for the U. S. Air Force, at Amarillo Air Force Base, 1962-64, instructed business by correspondence  in Japan to military personnel for USAFI (United States Arm Forces Institute) and co-authored two accounting books for the US Air Force in 1964-65, Director of Educational Services at Navy Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois 1965-1968, was a business instructor for the Army Education Center in Bangkok Thailand, 1969, and taught business classes for Weatherford Junior College in 1974. He retired in 1975, an avid tennis player. 
His surviving family members include: Emogene Little of Weatherford his sister-in-law and her children; Linda Crum and husband Mike of San Antonio; Laura Anderson and husband, Michael of Weatherford and their children, Joshua Anderson, his daughter Raviyah and Parker Anderson; Lorraine Little of Fort Worth; and Sam Little of Weatherford.  In lieu of a service donations to the Weatherford Parks Department are being accepted in his name.
