Harry Gilbert Mc Ilwain, III, 62, of Weatherford, Texas, formerly of Waynesboro, Mississippi, passed away early Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at his home in Weatherford.
Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday evening, October 29, 2020, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Mississippi.
Harry was born on July 26, 1958, in Waynesboro, Mississippi, to Harry Gilbert, Jr., and Kameko Mc Ilwain. He married Marsha Conaway on September 19, 2004. Harry worked for 26 years for Shell Oil Company. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Mississippi. He enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing, boating, and camping. Harry also took pride restoring vintage cars. He spent much time watching news and political events on television. Most of all, Harry will be remembered for his devotion to his family – particularly his children and grandchildren – and his beloved his pet dogs and cats.
Harry is survived by his wife, Marsha; his daughters, Kyleigh Odom and Kasha (David) Hughes; his grandchildren, Sydney, Gavin, Parker, Heidi, and Alex; step-daughters, Heather Brown and Krista Lathram; step-son, Kyle Lathram; and by his step-grandchildren, Allison, Chris, Brooklyn, Kash, Kyler, Lauren, and Jaley.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Mc Ilwain, and by his infant brother.
