Harvey Barnett Peoples, age 67, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 19th, 2015, after an extended illness. Harvey was born May 26, 1947, in Weatherford, Texas.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Cory Ward of Weatherford; his son, Lance Peoples of Austin; his grandchildren, Bailey and Brooklyn Parks and Brayden Ward; his wife for 32 years; Rita Barker; his brother, Melvin Peoples; and his loving companion, Donna O'Donnell.
Any person who entered Harvey's life became a part of his family. Some of those adopted by his love were adopted daughter, Shea Breving; and adopted grandchildren, Will Breving, and Hayden and Hudson Rowell. Once you entered Harvey's life you were his family.
His joy in life was his lifetime group of friends, playing dominos, and spending time with them. Harvey loved and mentored so many Weatherford young people. His joy was coaching them in every sport. He always welcomed everyone wherever he was.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford. Celebration of his life Ceremony 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2015, at the North Side Baptist Church, in Weatherford, with interment in the Bethel Cemetery.
