Harvey L. Williams

  Harvey L. Williams, age 89, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013, in Weatherford, Texas.  

  Harvey was born July 23, 1924, to Ruby and Izella Williams, in Weatherford, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Weatherford and a member of Hilltop Baptist Church. Harvey served in the Army during World War II in the 23rd Special Troops “Ghost Army”. 

  Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Dillingham Williams; parents, Ruby and Izella Williams; two sisters and two brothers.

  Survivors include his daughter, Maggie Greene of Portland, Oregon; son, Jim-Bob Williams of New York, New York; grandchildren, Jeremy Greene and Michael Greene; great-grandchildren, Jaycee Raye Greene, Logan Greene, Caleb Greene, and Devan Greene.

  Memorials may be given to Abandon Cemetery Association.

  Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the funeral home.
   Funeral service: Thursday, September 26, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
