Helen Sue Hamilton

  Helen Sue Hamilton, age 85, gracefully departed from this world on Thursday, April 4, 2024. She was born on January 18, 1939, in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, to Harvey Raines and Estella (Stubblefield) Raines. Known as Sue to her loved ones, she embraced the roles of a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother throughout her life. Her dedication to her family shone brightly through her time spent as a homemaker.

  Sue's heart overflowed with love for her children and grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as Nan or Nanny. She found joy in simple pleasures like playing the Wii and held a special fascination for butterflies.

  Left to cherish her memory are her adoring husband of 67 years, Harold Monroe Hamilton of Weatherford, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Diann and Howdy Robertson; daughter, Paula Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Edwards and Jerry Thorne; and daughter, Susie Hamilton. Sue also leaves behind grandchildren, Jason and Melissa Galloway, Brad and Susan Galloway, Zack and Margeaux Oaks, Mandi Edwards, Cody Oaks, and Dylan and Taylor Edwards; along with nine great-grandchildren.

  A graveside service to honor Sue's life will take place on Monday, April 8th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas. 

  Sue's presence in the lives of those she touched will always be remembered with love and gratitude.
