Helen McBee Barton was born on July 3, 1943 to Eugene and Vivian McBee. She passed peacefully surround by family on December 30 in Weatherford.
Helen was born in Millsap. She went to school and graduated from Peaster High School where she was the Salutatorian of her class. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church since 1985.
Helen loved with all she had. If you knew her then you knew she had a servant’s heart. She sat with many different family’s loved ones at the end of their lives. She loved to be there to help people. Her most prized possessions in life were her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She loved to play any type of card game or dominoes with family and friends. She also loved fishing and taking anyone fishing with her that would go.
She was preceded in death by her husband G.L. “Junior” Barton, who was the love of her life. Also, her father Eugene McBee, Mother Vivian Markwood McBee Chatman, Stepfather Clifton Chatman, 3 brothers: Bob, Raymond, and Bill McBee, 2 sisters: Margaret Ann McBee and Elsie Bond, Stepsister Helen Chatman Pierce, Step Brother Cliff Chatman, Step Daughter Jacquie Barton Holder, Grandson Tyler Barton, and Great Grandson Brayden Melton.
She is survived by daughters Margaret Smith and Cyndi Campbell, sons Howard James and wife Jeni, Dennis Barton and wife Gina, William Barton and wife Amanda, Stepdaughter Martha Peoples and husband Jim, Brother Donald McBee and wife Gina, Sisters: Betty Plowman and Linda Hancock, 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Pallbearers are her Grandsons: Eric Burnham, Justin Cloud (Her little darling), Jody Nichols, Josh Holder, Beau Smith, Garet Reed, Matt Barton, Tyler Barton, Gabe Barton, Gavin Barton, Garrison Barton, Waylin Barton, and Brennan Barton (Her Beloved).
In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations to be made to Spring Creek Baptist Church in Weatherford or Fairview Cemetery in Granbury in memory of her.
