Herbert (Bud) McFarland

September 2, 1942 — January 10, 2022

Herbert (Bud) McFarland went to be with the Lord early Monday morning, January 10, 2022. He was born in Aledo to Gene and Sybil Snow McFarland. Bud was the kind of man that made this country great, a man that believed in working hard, taking care of his family, and helping those in need. When he gave his word, he kept it. He taught us all so much and many of us can only hope to have the integrity and grit that he had. The world needs more men like him and his father before him, they truly are a dying breed. He had a close personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Bud will be missed by many, leaving behind a host of friends and family. He is survived by his three children, Walter McFarland and wife Joy, Bevala Moore and husband Jay and Charles McFarland and wife Jinx; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and his companion of 18 years, Katina Beck.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. A funeral will be held at 2 pm, Friday, January 14, 2022, at North Side Baptist Church with interment to follow in Tin Top Cemetery.
