Homer Marion Tefertiller Jr., 72, of Weatherford, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009. Homer was born in Noble, Oklahoma December 14, 1936 to Homer and Ruby Gentry Tefertiller Sr.
Homer and wife Marie nurtured a great grandson, Alex Robison, from age three through eleven. Alex and his friends at Crockett Elementary affectionately referred to Homer as Pa Pa. Homer spent time with his elders as well. He regularly called Bingo at several Weatherford Nursing Homes.
Survivors include Homer’s wife Marie and her daughters, Claudia and Debra and her husband John Davis all of Azle; five grandchildren and their families including 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Velma Purdue of Voorhees, New Jersey and Elsie Yager of Roanoke, Virginia and brothers Bob Tefertiller of Oklahoma City and Ed Tefertiller and his wife Karen of Justin, Texas.
A brother, Dr. Kenneth Tefertiller and parents Ruby and Homer Tefertiller Sr. preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be held Monday, November 16, 2009 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. Burial will be at 3:30 PM in Green Hill Cemetery in Davis Oklahoma. Visitation is scheduled from 4 PM to 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Homers nephews will serve as Pallbearers; Jeff Tefertiller, Jay Tefertiller, Russ Tefertiller, Steve Tefertiller, Ray Jones and Tim Thibodeaux.
