Howard Earl Gibson

Howard Earl Gibson, 90, of Weatherford, Texas left this earth for his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Medical City of Weatherford. Howard was born August 11, 1931, in Granbury, Texas to Clifford Lafayette Gibson and Virgie Everidge Gibson.

Howard was a member of First Baptist Church Dennis and served as a part-time music minister for over 50 years in various churches. He worked as a repeater technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring after 42 years of employment. He was also an avid golfer.

Howard is survived by his wife, Ivelyn Gibson, of Weatherford, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne (Diana) Gibson and Gary (Lou) Gibson, and daughter and son-in-law, Janice (Jimmy) Day, all of Weatherford, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by three brothers, C. L., Eddie Ray, and Charlie Gibson.

A private family funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas. A public graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m., in East Greenwood Cemetery.
