Ila Vernell Vowell

Ila Vernell Vowell, 69, of Weatherford, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday January 5, 2009 at her home. Ila was born July 4, 1939 in Dennis, Texas to Gene and Sybile McFarland. She was a homemaker, care giver, and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She loved arts and crafts, puzzles, and had aspirations of becoming an author. Ila is preceded in death by her grandson Billy Gene Tillery and brother Tommy McFarland. She is survived by daughters; Tammy Tillery and David Oldham, Tink Conrad and husband Wilber, Latosha Vowell, all of Weatherford, sons; Tim “Buster” Robinson and wife Sandra of Aledo, Patrick Hall of St. Joseph, Missouri, brothers; Herbert McFarland of Cleburne, Cecil McFarland of Burleson, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.


Graveside service will be 2 PM Monday January 12, 2009 at Tin Top Cemetery with Reverend Ray Loftis officiating.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
