Jack Mancel Green, Jr., age 89, left this earth for his Heavenly Home on the morning of Friday, December 3, 2021, at his residence in Springtown, Texas.
Jack was born on January 18, 1932, in Weatherford, Texas, to Jack Mancel Green, Sr. and Lela E. (Blackmon) Green. He was self-employed in the scrap metal business. His hobbies included: working on antique cars/trucks, chopping wood, and reading his Bible and witnessing to others about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a kind and gentle man who loved his Lord, his family, and his animals.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by daughters, Mary Ann Patterson and Joyce Ann Earley; grandson, Jack Mitchell Green; and brothers, Floyd Green, Lloyd "Curly" Green, Leroy Green, and Junior Wayne Green.
Left to cherish Jack's memory are his loving wife, Shirley Marie (Poulter) Green of Springtown, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, David Mitchell, Sr. and Linda Jane Green, and Johnny Wayne and Virginia Denise Green, all of Springtown, Texas; sister, Lois McFarland of Bowie, Texas; grandchildren, Lisa Ritter, David Green, Jr., Wesley Patterson, Jr., Brandy Patterson, Johnny Green, Jr., Billy Green, and Holly Morgan; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Whitt Cemetery.
