Jack W. Crain, 70, of Weatherford, Texas, an internationally renowned custom knife maker, passed away from a long illness on September 7, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Jack was born on August 22, 1946 to Jack and Gwendolyn Jean Crain in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was an exceptional wood craftsman, especially in the design and installation of custom cabinetry. His skills transitioned into steel work and ultimately to knife making. Jack designed and built knives for many Hollywood productions, television shows and books. He is survived by his wife, Jane Fritts Crain of Weatherford, Texas; sisters Janie MacNair of Weatherford, Texas and Evelyn Ramirez (Alfredo) of Victoria, Texas; daughter Jennifer Crain of Wichita, Kansas; niece Carrie Bohac (Aron) of Garland, Texas; great niece Sophia Bohac of Garland, Texas; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Gwendolyn Crain. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, September 12th at 10:30 am at Spring Creek Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas. Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements, with Jim Watts presiding.
