Jacquelyn “Jacquie” Sue King, 71, of Weatherford passed away at her residence September 30, 2017. Jacquie was born August 8, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK to James and Virginia Ford Ross. Throughout her lifetime she worked in hospital administration and real estate and was a member of North Side Baptist Church and Weatherford Art Association. As a law enforcement officer's wife, Jacquie was active in a wide variety of civic and other organizations spanning several decades. Jacquie had an artistic soul that enjoyed acting, researching family genealogy, and creating beautiful works of art. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Paul King; daughter, Dawn Michelle Burns; and a brother, James “Jimmy” Spillman Ross III.
Survivors include her daughters, Angie King of Round Rock and Suzy Hudson, and her husband Jeff, of Weatherford; aunt, Clarita Ross of Dallas; brothers, Walt and Paul Ross; four grandchildren, Summer King, Toby Johnson, Paige Hudson, and Peyton Hudson; a large extended family; and numerous friends.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, October 9, 2017 at Floresville City Cemetery in Floresville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Side Baptist Church or Weatherford Art Association.
We will miss her dearly but are comforted in knowing that she has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior.
