James (Jim) Adam Lane, 56, of Weatherford, passed away early on Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Weatherford, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford, Texas. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Jim was born on September 16, 1964, in Garden Grove, California, to Ed and Elizabeth Lane. He married Debby Dalton Kolanek on July 29, 1994. Jim was the owner of ABC Bail Bonds in Weatherford and was a member of the Professional Bondsman of Texas and the Parker County Bail Bonds Board. Because of his career, Jim was a strong believer in giving people second chances and particularly mentoring people as a life coach. His moto in life was “It’s better to know me and not need me-than to need me and not know me!” He enjoyed outdoor activities, including hunting and using his smoker to make delicious meals.
Jim will affectionately be remembered for his “twisted sense of humor” and for his willingness to help anyone in need. He could be generous to a fault. Most of all, Jim will be remembered for his love of his family.
Jim survived by his wife, Debby; his shared children, Emalie Glenn, and Shelby and husband, Trevor Trammell, Mark and wife, Susan Mendenhall; 9 grandchildren, Kaiden Aliff, Brinley Glenn, Adalynn Glenn, Lauren Glenn, Gwen Glenn, Alissa Trammell, Carter Trammell, Emma Trammell, and Parker Trammell; his sister, Debra Mendenhall; his brothers, Robert and wife, Connie Lane, and Michael Lane; his nieces, Nichole Dalton and Samantha Lane; and his nephew, Patrick Lane.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
