Jim, better known as “Hero,” left this earthly home surrounded by family and friends after a long courageous battle with cancer on November 14, 2007.
Jim was born in Madisonville, Texas, on September 24, 1932, to Blumber and Gladys Hall. He served in the Marines from 1951 – 1959. He fought in the Korean War, and was a member of Millwright Local Union 1421 and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Jim was truly an angel sent from heaven, always quick with jokes or a helping hand. His grandkids called hem Hero because to them and everyone who knew him, he was truly one. Jim loved his horses, dogs and of course his family, home cooked goodies and playing pool.
His parents and five brothers precede him in death.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; children, Barbara and Harold Holidy, Debbie and Kenny Pritchett, Tammy and Jason Payne, Rhonda and Chuck Sears, Dawn and Johnny Scott, James Hall and Deloris Hallmark, Stevie Noakes, and Paul and Robin Hall; honorary son, Jimmy Lewis and wife, Teri; sisters, Vera, Mary, Sharon, Nina, and Ima; 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; beloved companions, TK, Billy, Sam, Sadie, Pepper, and Sissy; and a whole load of special friends – too many to list.
