James Robert Walls

James Robert Walls passed from this life on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at age 67, after a long battle with Parkinson Disease. Robert was born in Fort Worth, Texas on October 7th, 1955.

Robert was a remarkable man. His profound wisdom and witty charm esteemed him to many. Robert was a loving husband to his wife of 47 years, Trobie Walls; supportive father to his daughters, Carrie Plowman (John) and Breanna Nelms (Josh); caring grandfather to Tyler Plowman (Michaela) and Makayla Plowman; and proud great grandfather to Presley, Jayden, Beckett, Casin, and Kenzee. He also cherished his sister, Rhonda Walls; sister-in-law, Paula Linville; and a host of extended family.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, James B. Walls and Reba (Russell) Walls; loving in-laws, Donald and Laverne Linville; and brother-in-law, Gary Don Linville.

Among his many professional achievements, Robert earned his Master's degree in Engineering from Tarleton State University. He worked for Brown & Root Industrial Services, then for Jump King as an engineer, and later retired from Lockheed Martin. Robert loved piddling and enjoyed using his knowledge as a jack-of-all-trades to lend a helping hand to those around him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St., Weatherford, Texas 76086. The funeral service will also be at the funeral chapel on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Dilbeck Cemetery, in Peaster, Texas.
