James Edward Scott, age 86, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas. James was born April 11, 1935, in Munford, Tennessee, to James Caldwell Scott and Etta Lorene Franks Scott.
James spent his earlier years as a Pastor and Minister of the Gospel. He was a home builder in the Weatherford area for 15 years. Building was his passion. James went on mission trips to Africa, Australia and Mexico. He also volunteered his time counseling and serving at Proverbs Place and Center of Hope. He was a member of the Neon Life Church, in Weatherford, and enjoyed his Bible study groups and fellowship. He also loved baseball and the Texas Rangers, but most of all he loved the Lord Jesus Christ.
James is survived by his wife, Sandra Anne Scott of Weatherford, Texas; daughters: Rhonda Scott Erwin and husband, Mike, of Irving, Texas, and Audra Baker of Weatherford, Texas; sons, Ralph Scott and wife, Jan, of Millington, Tennessee, Paul Scott of Millington, Tennessee, and Shane Baker and wife, Jessica, of Eureka, Montana; sisters, Carolyn Orten of Dawson Springs, Kentucky, and Nancy Federicci of Millington, Tennessee; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne Scott.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 16, 2021, at the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Road, Willow Park, Texas 76087. Burial will follow at Tin Top Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Proverbs Place, 1891 FM 1189, Weatherford, Texas 76087.
